Halloween 2009

Fletcher had a full schedule for his third Halloween, and although I know he still doesn't understand what's going on, he had a great day. One of the boys in his class had a birthday party Saturday morning, so all the kids got to dress up early. Unfortunately, it was 85 degrees and many of the costumes were geared for cooler weather. Needless to say there was some streaking after some of the kids got out of the jump castle. It was my first experience with that many two year olds, but the party was well organized with lots of activities. Fletcher skipped most of the indoor activities and went straight to the backyard.

He removed his Scooby Doo hood pretty quickly and was drenched in sweat within 20 minutes.

Gracie didn't seem to mind.
He loved the jump castle. He's getting one of these mini versions for Christmas. I'm excited. It's a quick way to wear him out!

His class has been learning about Halloween and pumpkins and trick or treating manners. They planted pumpkin seeds in the garden a couple weeks ago. We were asked to bring in a small pumpkin, so it would look like they actually grew one. He was very excited to show me his after they "picked" them in the garden.
"Fetch pukin!"

He has no idea who Scooby Doo is, but it was the cutest thing I could find that was cool enough for Daddy to like it. By next year, he'll be into pirate or ninjas!
