I read the books and articles about raising kids and they all say that music, specifically nursery rhymes, are helpful with all sorts of stuff. So Fletcher and I use the FROG as our dancing room, and I have a somewhat jazzed up CD of nursery rhymes. You know "I'm a little tea pot" and "The Incy Wincy Spider" set to danceable music. Fletcher really only stomps his feet and occasionally swings his arms, so I've been trying to use exaggerated movements lately to try and get him to move a little more. Well today I was dancing and singing and jumping all around, and Fletcher was starting to get into it. I went to spin around and caught something outside the window out of the corner of my eye. I stopped to check and it was a group 5 boys from the neighborhood stopped on their bikes in the middle of the road just staring at me like I was having a seizure. Now they of course could not see Fletcher because he's so short, so I can only imagine what they were thinking. As soon as they saw me looking they took off, probably afraid. I can't wait to see the kids when I'm out walking the dogs! They'll probably move to the other side of the road.
p.s The downstairs bathroom looks awesome! I'm so glad we decided to take the plunge and try to do stripes. As for the renovations, we are on hiatus for a little while.
