Ladies Night

Most of my friends have girls, so Fletcher spends a lot of time hangin' with the ladies. This has proved to be helpful with potty training because the whenever the girls go (which is often), Fletcher wants to go too.

We had Willa, Maris and Rivers (and their parents) over for dinner. The kids have fun playing with the wealth of toys we have inherited and we actually get to have some adult conversation.
However, this is what the play room looks like when all is said and done. Locating all of the Mr. Potato head pieces is the most challenging.

Snow...in Charleston?

Yes, it did snow and the whole town freaked out! Growing up in Charleston, I only saw snow twice; the first time I don't really remember, but I've seen the pictures and I was about 3yo. The second time was about 3 months after Hurricane Hugo hit, talk about adding insult to injury! I am NOT a fan of the cold weather or anything it has to offer....but these pictures are pretty.

Those two houses are still for sale!

I think Reese feels the same way I do about snow. She doesn't even like to get her feet wet when its raining.

Beau on the other hand is more easy-going, he's up for whatever.

Our favorite tree (it looks like a pineapple) took a beating. Palm trees just aren't meant to hold that kind of weight. Mark was convinced it was ruined, but after a good trimming it looks fine.

Fletcher had a blast! For weeks every time we went outside he'd ask, "where da snow go?". Thankfully we have this picture, because he won't remember it and hopefully we won't see it again anytime soon.

I'm seriously behind...I know!

Okay, so now that I am back at work maintaining the blog always falls to the bottom of my list. It's not that I don't think about it, but then there are papers to grade and labs to work up, laundry, dinner, and oh yeah hanging out with my family. I've actually had a a few ideas, but then I don't have pics to go along with them, so it seems silly. I have to admit that I hate to take pictures. I have taken the camera on our last few trips and it has never left my bag...sigh. However, I do have a few things to share, so lets catch up on the last aaahhh...5 months? Yikes!

We can start with Christmas 2009.

We packed up the gang and headed to MS for a COLD visit. Fletcher discovered the four wheeler and it was all he wanted to do.

He didn't care that it was pink or about the layers of clothes he was forced to wear.

He ran the battery down a bunch!

There was a little chaos when it was time to open presents....

but I think Mawmaw had the most fun with all her grandchildren home at once.

It was Fletcher's first time to really open gifts, so Chase was kind enough to help him.

I can't believe how big these two are now, I remember when they were born.
